Help neded an ELA demo lesson for thursday grade 6 city school
Doe sanyone have a lesson i can use for sixth grade ela demo. The AP said it can be very generic like cause and effect or making infrences or any reading skill. HELP HELP HELP. TIA
I need to use the TC model
ETA: I think the lesson doenst have to be a specifioc 6th grade topic so if you have a 4th or 5th grade lesson thast fine too.

Cause and effect is good. Maybe kick it up a notch and incorporate some Social Studies (ancient civilizations)? You can use some greek mythology or use descriptive language to compare/contrast Athenian vs. Spartan ways of life.

TC model =
Quick mini-lesson (you introduce and teach your topic
Independent work = kids work, you support
Close= tie it all together.
For 6th grade, I would do inferencing, cause and effect or sequencing. Use a graphic organizer or another visual.

i would also recommend using some kind of non-fiction text. i agree with using a graphic organizer. best of luck!
