Help! Need carpet cleaner suggestions for pet stains!

My kitty has throwing up issues that we are working on with the vet. But she has completely TRASHED our carpet We have tried so many things - nature's miracle, resolve carpet cleaner, zout. Any suggestions on what REALLY works? We are desperate as the carpet looks disgusting and we know when we move out, there goes our security!

A friend who just got a puppy and was housebreaking him said Oxy Clean does wonders. I tried to get it at Target the other day and couldn't find it. I hope you have better luck!

I bougt spot shot at walmart or target

it works on cat puke and tea (Maggie thinks it's funny to tip over my tea cups on to my beige carpet)

it's in a blue bottle

I spray and blot

then I spray again- and apply pressure (take a bunch of good paper towels- like bounty and put sneakers on top- it pulls the stain up)

Try peroxide!!!!

ETA: My mom swears by it for her cat puke issues!!

I used to use the resolve carpet cleaning granules. You scrub the carpet with the granules and a brush and let it sit for 1/2 hour and then vacuum it up. It always worked well for me. When my dog got really bad toward the end we covered the rooms he was allowed in with old towels to make clean up easier. You may want to do that for a little while, old towels, blankets, sheets, etc until the problem is fixed. It is a lot easier to rinse them in the sink and then throw them in the washer than try to clean the carpet. Good luck and I hope your kitty is better soon.

So far the best thing I've used is "Oxy Solution" Cat Stain and Deodortizer

I bought it at PetsMart Its basically Oxy Clean.

Believe it or not - the best thing my mom has ever used is seltzer. Just pour it on and scrub.

She used it on poo stains on the carpet. Like bad poo stains. The carpet is a light blue-green so the stains were really noticeable (she also tried everything including Nature's Miracle) and the seltzer made the carpet look brand new.

I second the Spot Shot. We have very light beige carpets, and unfortunately my mom's cat likes to eat things she shouldn't, such as tape and ribbon. She vomits, on the carpet of course, at least 3 times a week. The Spot Shot really works.

I don't know if the kind of carpet makes a difference but I have gotten peroxide on carpet before (by accident) and it did lighten it. I would test a corner in a closet first just to be sure.

I just used Resolve carpet cleaner last night, sprayed the hell out of it, waited 5 minutes, lathered with a sponge, then blotted dry. I can't even tell where the stain was. And that was on an old stain and a brand new one. (urine, not poop)

Also, I have very light gray carpeting.

I've used both the Oxyclean and the SpotShot and both seem to work very well.
