Help! Olivia bumped her head!
Hi today Olivia was standing on the curb as my parents were packing the car. I was holding one hand and she fell off the curb. she scraped her face and bumped her head. we hear a thump. I feel so bad. she cried for about 1 minute and was fine. i watched tv with her after wards and she fell a couple more times on the carpet downstairs not anything unusual and didnt cry. she ate dinner no problem, gave her a bath. and put her down for 8pm. i didnt notice a large bump at all. fast forward. its 9pm and she just woke up crying. diaper dry and cannot understand why. i heat up another bottle and rub her head while she drinks it. i notice a large bump and touch it. she doesnt react to it. do you think i should worry. i check the internet to see what signs to look for and it says to worry if there is vomiting, alot of falling, cross eyed or dagging of the foot or arm. she shows no signs of this. what do you think i should do?

Re: Help! Olivia bumped her head!
How hard do you think she hit it?
I am no doctor but I think it's worse if they hit the back of their head. If she hit her forehead she might just wind up with a bump. If she doesn't react when you touch it, I can only hope she is okay..
Feel better Olivia!

Re: Help! Olivia bumped her head!
I'm sure she's ok, Corinne. It could hurt and that's why she woke up, or it could be a fluke that she woke up. I'd give the Dr. a call tomorrow if the bump looks bad.

Re: Help! Olivia bumped her head!
when Brianna did this 2 weeks ago I called the Dr because she got a huge bump right away, he said to watch her for vomiting, passing out tiredness not acting normal. He wanted us to wake her every hour for 4 hours after the bump it was at like 6pm, so we did till 11pm and she was fine. He said the front of the head is the STRONGEST part of the head and they have done studies on high impact car accidents with children hitting thier head and being fine so Im sure shes ok. He said NOT to give her Tylenol, not sure why maybe because if it was something it would mask it? Maybe she woke cause she is teething? Brianna just woke because of those teeth coming in....
