Help Packing for first overnight trip

So we're going to Grandma and Papa's for the weekend and this is the first time I've left the house with DS for more than a few hours.

Please help with what I need to pack.

This is what I have so far:

1. 20 diapers
2. wipes
3. 4 short-sleeve outfits
4. 3 long-sleeve outfits
5. PJ's
6. Swaddle me
7. Bouncy Chair
8. Bottles
9. Baby Bjorn
10. a few toys
11. bottles

This is what I have questions on:

12. Should I just bring 2 32 oz bottles of RTF and his bottle warmer OR go and buy the individual size (8 oz) so I don't have to warm it up, especially for his night feeding so we don't wake the rest of the house up if he cries.

10. to sleep in, should I bring his PNP or his moses basket? Or neither, can he sleep in his carseat?

what am I missing? Does that sound good?

I'm so excited to see everyone this weekend, especially since Gma and Papa live a few blocks away from DH's 2 sisters and their families. DS will get to spend time with his 4 cousins for this first time since he was born Chat Icon but I'm also very nervous since we've never been anywhere but the dr's and a few stores and walks with him.

I don't know what to say about the formula b/c I EBF, but as far as the sleeping. It would depend on what he is used to sleeping in. I went to my parents when DS was 2 weeks old and I brought the bassinet b/c it was light and easy. When I stayed over when he was 2 months, I had him sleeping the PNP b/c he was already sleeping in his crib. I wouldn't have him sleep in the car seat when you have other better options. You sound like you have everything! You might want to bring a hat in case he is outside, but anything you are missing, you can buy.

How exciting for you guys!!!! As far as
bringing two 32 oz bottles of RTF and his bottle warmer or the individual size (8 oz)... I would bring the individual 8 oz bottles that are easy and quick to feed - and don't nee to warm. Like you said, they are key for late night/early morning feeding so you don't have to get out of bed an go into the kitchen, etc...

I don't think you should have DS sleep in his car seat. What does he nap in at home? His PNP or the moses basket? I would just bring one of those so he is comfortable.

Also, don't forget to obviously bring burp cloths, bibs, baby Tylenol (just in case) and Mylicon drops (if you use them on Frankie.

HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
