Help Please..need to send something to an OOS shiva
FH's grandma passed away last week. She was buried on Friday, so there are a few days of shiva left. I had a really busy weekend and I realized today we didn't send anything, but it's in FL.
Any thoughts on what to do?

Do you think they are all bagel and cold cutted out?
Any other ideas?

Which town in Fl.? You can call a local restaurant/deli to have a food platter delivered.

I would call a local Deli down there and order food. Maybe there is a Ben's Deli there (I don't think its just in NY)?

I don't really know any places in Plantation. I would try googling local restaurants in Plantation and see which are considered the most popular. See what they can put together for you.

Use Google Earth...its perfect for finding anything you need out of state. It will even map the distance from the house you need to send it too.

there bagels aare really good. and I would just call to see if they deliver.. they also have Deli
BTW.. ther is a Ben's Deli it is in Boca.. my sister calls it the NY shopping Center .. There is Bens, Infinity, Lonnys and there were supposed to puit a Denny's there

Jen can I be brutally honest, when my father passed away, the Ben's truck showed up every day. We were all cold-cutted, cole-slawed, bageled and cream cheesed out and just about dumped most of it. Try to see if you can get perhaps, chickens and hot side dishes as a change of pace. BENS and other delis offer these types of foods. We were truly blessed by everyone's generosity.
