Help shopping for my Brother

Ok so here's the deal--he's 28, just moved to CA and works for Google. Prior to that, had been living in NH doing his undergrad and then doctorate for a total of 10 years there. Basically needs new clothes, and wants to look more stylish in his casual wear but doesn't want:

Polos
V-necks
Anything warm (it's CA and apparently his office is hot)

My DH is doing better with his style but he likes polos and also likes layering with sweaters and things....

Any ideas? What do your DHs wear to look casual and stylish, like with nice jeans?

Help! This is what he wants for Christmas and my mom and I are trying to get a handle on it!

ETA: He's about 5'11" and in pretty good shape, but like average size, not super slim also doesn't really have a gut or anything...

check out Eddie Bauer. they have some nice casual wear.

DH loves their wrinkle free button down dress shirts.
