HELP! sweat changing the color of clothes, towels, etc...
I was going to post this on health board but this board seems to be busier...
I have a very overweight friend... about 300 + lbs. She's been this way her whole life.
Within the last 4 years or so... when she sweats, her sweat is literally changing the color of her clothes and towels. It almost looks like bleach was thrown into the washing machine. The towels and clothes are being ruined by this. She's even ruined a BUNCH of my towels (she used to stay over a lot) and I couldn't figure out what was going on. We recently discovered that it's her. Her pillow cases, clothes, you name it... if it touches her skin.... the coloring changes. She thinks she's toxic.
She has had gallstones (had her gallbladder removed) and it's still happening. IDK if this would even be of any relation... but I figured I'd put this out there. I'm not even sure if it could be weight related.
Does anyone know what could cause this to occur? I'm trying to google it but not finding many results.

PS and it's not jsut the underarm area. Around the neck... her face (if she uses a towel to wipe her face etc)... all areas of her body seem to change the color on things...

Maybe her PH levels are too high...tell her to drink WATER!

it's no products she's using and it's not deodorant either.
it's literally something inside her body doing it. like ph levels or something.
ETA - it is odd!!
And I used to yell at DH for getting bleach on all the towels!! turns out it wasn't his fault... it was her body doing it!!!

that's all im finding on google too. ph levels and too much salt in her body.
it's really strange and has been going on for years. her weight is really affecting her health big time and i think perhaps her poor diet and eating habbits could possibly be throwing something off kilter.

I'm not really overweight (maybe could lose 10-15 lbs) and some of my clothes have lighter spots in the armpits. I'm sure it has to do with my deororant/detergent combination.
Since I'm not brand loyal to either, it would take me years to figure out the combo!
