HELP! Telemarketers/'Unknown' on my Cell

Ok, this one telemarketing place has called my cell hone about 50 times (literally) since the night before last.
They call me every 30 mins to an hour.
Sometimes it is a 1-800 number, other times it is "Unkown" aka "private" aka "withheld"

How do itblock these numbers? i want to make it so that they have to press *82 in order to call me.

any suggestions???????????
i am getting despereate


(oh yeah, theyNEVER leave a message and sometimes when i pick up they never are on hte other line!)

i already ;left my outgoing message saying "take me off your lisT" and have told two different employees not to call again, but they dont stop.

what can i do?!!?!?

do you know the name of teh telemarketing co? google them, see if there is an address or phone number to call or mail a complaint to. after you fill out the do not call list, print a copy that verifies you are on it and fax/mail/email it to the company.

i only have a 1-800 number, when when i call it it just makes a loud noise. maybe i hsould gogole that. i forget the naem of the company. some maginze scam artists.

Try to look up the # in a reverse phone book. You may be able to find the companies name that way.

Do the do not call list. I did it for mine and hubby's phone and we never had a problem

Dh and I did the do not call list but every once in awhile I get a telemarketer or a text advertisement!

ok, i called cingular. they said unfortunatly, there is no way to block hidden numbers...

i joined the do not call list, and cingular added me to it as well, so hopefully it will get better.


i tried looking the number up in reverse, but it doesnt come up! the number is 1-800-219-9918 and i can only get 1-866-219-9918 weird

I have that problem too. I am going to sign up on the do not call list too.

ok, they just called me again and i am SOOO pizzed!

i told the girl "i am NOT interested in the magazines" so she kept askign "why?" and i wa slike "im just not" and so she lowered the rates and i am like NO! and then she offered me other things like vacations and stuff

SO........... then she says "ok, well im canceling it for you, but just so you know your first paymeny for $15 has been billed to your credit card"

WHAT?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??
i HATE them!

My cell phone has been getting these too. Except they leave a message and it is people asking for votes for people running. Today was a voicemail from rudy giuliani asking me to vote for someone. Its ridiculous and I am on the do not call list already. One of the numbers was a 1-866 number.
