Help this Paleo Newbie out...

So my DH has been on it for a couple of months..and has had AMAZING effects!

So he challenged me to try it for just 30 days to see if I could have similar results...

So I accepted his challenge....but I am so scared...

I am not a huge veggie person...I like salad, carrots (raw) broccoli, onions, spaghetti squash if in a meat sauce (DH made this the other day for the 1st time and was shocked I like it so much), corn, peas, guacamole (bot not avacado plain Chat Icon ) and maybe a few others...I am a plain jane

BUT I love my rice, pasta, bread and cheese...like A LOT!!!

SO i hope I can survive this month!

I love all kinds of meat so that is not the issue..

Of course my DH who cooks all his meals went away on a 3 day business trip on the week I decide to join him..so i dont have him here to push/encourage me!

He SWEARS by it and doesn't have any plans on ever getting off this lifestyle..."It's not a diet"

I am amazed by his will power...i wish i had an ounce of his will power

Any good simple, go to recipes or websites you suggest! thanks

Re: Help this Paleo Newbie out...

There are a lot of recipes on Pinterest. I just bought the Paleo Diet book. It's a very interesting read. I plan on starting this after I give birth, although I have started cutting out grains now.

Re: Help this Paleo Newbie out...

I just started researching this diet last night because I need to have some kind of structure with my eating habits, and I came across this website.

Elana's Pantry

I love how a majority of the recipes only call for a few items- I'm not one who loves to spend hours in the kitchen cooking, so it looks great. I'm trying the Rosmary Apple Chicken with Butternut Squash Latkes for dinner tonight!!

Paleo is AMAZING. I second the pinterest idea. THere is also a website called the whole 30. They are amazing as well.

Paleo is so easy after the first few days.

Re: Help this Paleo Newbie out...

i follow primal blueprint which is very similar to paleo (differences here Click Me ) but the same general idea - i don't find it hard to eat at all. Just eat real foods! The website i linked above has good meal ideas too.
