Re: Help! Water Leaking Through Window
We are having the exact same issue with our ac unit. It was pouring in. I called housing--nothing can be done now :( We just put tons of plastic garbage bags down and used all our towels to try and fill the holes and sop up the water. Its going to be a long nite

I know it's late and it's dark but maybe your husband can go outside and tack up some kind of plastic around the window to work as a shield?
Ugh

Thanks everyone!
Great idea Jennie, if only we had a ladder that can reach the 3rd floor. :(
I've managed to divert the leak into a bucket by using towels so for now it's ok but it's still going to be a long nite.

How about if during a lull in the storm you work from out the window? It won't be super tight but it if's covering where the water's coming in that might do the trick.
Just a thought...Good luck!

Thanks Jennie, that's another good idea if I can open the window and/or isolate where the leak is coming from... I'm just resigning myself to wake up every 2 hours to empty the buckets at this point. :(
DH also thinks even if we put a tarp outside the window, the wind will just blow the tarp away.
Urgh! I just hope it doesn't get worse!

Hmmm...good point about it blowing away. That totally stinks.

Re: Help! Water Leaking Through Window
Probably a blocked gutter. Just keep buckets under. You cant do much now and it's wayyyy too dangerous to go outside for that. Just empty the buckets.
