We used Terro and it was amazing!!!!! One day they were day, the next day GONE!
Terro
I believe we got it either at the supermarket or home depot

Love Terro traps. I emailed them a few questions & the CEO (or someone posing as him) emailed me back immediately with different solutions.
You have to be able to tolerate an ant swarm for a day or 2 - and DON"T kill the ants, they have to bring the poison back to the queen to kill the nest.

Also check your coffee maker if you have one on the counter.
We had one and everyone in FL tells me no matter what you'll have ants. Well we used everything we could think of to stop the ants. Nothing worked.
One day I went to make coffee and OMG  
They thought my coffee maker was their home. I ran water through the maker and boiled their tiny butts. Then the coffee maker stopped working so it was sent to Krups for repair.
But ever since I had that discovery and took care of the situation we have had absolutly not one single ant.
So also be sure to check your coffee maker or any of your appliances.

thank you for all your tips..
I actually went to home depot and kmart last nite looking for terro and neither had it.... but my experience to the stores was even more exciting than our ant infestion...
I got a flat right by the home depot parking lot 
oh well...

I get ants every spring and sprinkle pepper by all the doors and in a few days they are gone, they dont like the smell.

Do you know what kind of ants they are? Because I think depending on the type of ant you have, you may need to use different treatments.
