HELP, Where Should I Get My Hair Cut and Colored? I am in Medford, so I'm looking for recommendations in the Port Jefferson, Stony Brook, Holbrook, St. James area:)
TIA, I've read a bunch of reviews on here but most are old. Anyone NOW go to Tapestry salon in Centereach?
* I should add that I want to go this Friday aftenoon (going away Saturday) so my choices MAY be limited)

i've never been to tapestry, i go to nicole english for a cut and christine for color, both at symmetry in stonybrook 751-6363... not sure you'll be able to get an appt on such short notice though

I go to Symmetry as well...I see Amanda for my cuts and Christine for color.

I use Tapestry. I just started using them in the early spring when my friend started working there. I am very happy with them and wouldn't go anywhere else at this point.

I used to go to Tapestry, but then almost all the stylists left there and went to Off 7th (also in Centereach). So basically, off 7th is like the old Tapestry, lol. I totally recommend them.
Can't tell you anything about Tapestry now.
ETA: if you go to off 7th ask for Sabrina or Jill

I made an appointment for tomorrow. I said I wanted the highest level stylist/colorist and she gave me someone named Heather and "claims" she's fantastic. Do you know of her/anything about her?

I just got a cut and used Bryn. She was so sweet and did a great job. I must say she really did a get job on the blow out too. I usually hate when people blow out my hair. I am very happy with my experience there. Everyone in the salon was very friendly and their customer service was excellent. I will probably try them out for color next. I usually travel all the way to Massapequa ( i love out east) for color but I think i am going to try here next time.
