Help with a paper
Hi! Can anybody please help me with a paper that I'm doing? I am taking a class and I need to answer questions concerning my classroom, however I am not currently teaching this semester. The professor said I could ask my coworkers and friends for help and see how their classrooms are. This week I need to compare the differences between the way my classroom first was and how it is now in terms of class population. For example, more kids with behavioral issues or learning disabilities, etc... Any help would be greatly appreciated!! This class is very difficult without having a class to look at. TIA!

Re: Help with a paper
Okay, here is some information about one of my classes. If you need more please FM me
It started with 28 (approx) kids and now has 19/20. The reasons for the the drastic changes include students moving, classes being changed due to discipline problems, and one student was removed from the school all together. (it was his fourth year in a three year school and he was only in 7th grade and failing yet again)
The class has obviously quieted down a whole lot. I can see who is talking/working/etc now and it is easier to catch them and prevent future bad behavior.
Academically, some of the kids were VERY lazy at the beginning and are now beginning to shape up. I attrribute it to the recent drop in enrollment as well as the relationship I have been builiding with them. I call parents for good work/behavior. I call parents for no work/poor behavior. They know I am on them and have been trying hard to impress me. They "like" me or so I am told by other teachers. They are willing to do my work because I try to incorporate their interests and talents in all of the assignments. For example, I did a lesson on homophones and had the "art students" do all of the illustrations and lettering that was involved. The others worked on sentences and definitions and then we put it all together.
Opps: just re-read your post.....there has been no change regarding learning disablilities.
