Help with baby clothes and sizes

Okay I must have gotten at least 30 0-3mo. onesies at my baby shower!!

How many do I really need? If I have a big baby (say 8lbs, which is what my dr. is projecting), how long will he stay in them?

Should I exchange/return some for diff sizes?

I would exchange some. I would say 15-20 would be enough.

Hi Holly. I would return at least half of them. This first week with my Chat Icon , I haven't even used one newborn sized onsie yet. I am keeping him a long sleeved white undershirt so that his belly button can heal. And if you do have a big baby, you are better off getting the size 0-3 months anyway.

If they are Gerbers, I would say only about 10. Gerber tends to run small and if you have a big baby, the baby may not fit in them for very long at all.

I had an 8lb 8oz baby and he's in 3-6 month clothes at 5 weeks old.

I had an 8 lb baby who was long & she wore 0-3 for maybe 10 days....

She had maybe 5 onesies/outfits & that was more than enough.

Re: Help with baby clothes and sizes

I had an 8lb baby and now she is 12lbs at 8 weeks. She is still in 0-3 onesies as long as they are NOT gerber. They shrink. But all her miniwear, carters and circo ones fit perfectly fine. If you don't want to do wash everyday I'd keep most of them.
