help with ideas for two girls' room
my girls are going to share a room in the new house. one likes blue, the other pink.
how would you do this? any places to look online for color help?
i need to do a lot DIY b/c :
#1 - i want the satisfaction
#2 - i want to save the $ for other things.
help!!

This is the picture of their room from MLS.. I added this because of the slants in the room. i think we could do something creative.
I LOVE everyone's input so far. especially the last post. my oldest daughter wants ALL the rooms!!

what about having white/off white/cream on the top of the walls... the putting up a chair rail and under it doing a pink and blue stripe? (or flip it with the strip ontop of the chair rail.)
ETA: i would have them pick out bedding or you pick out bedding first before deciding on actual colors you can have them color match it to the bedding so it really matches!

I agree too w/ the chair rail. In DD's room we have pink walls, wainscotting on the bottom (white) & then a blue ceiling & blue carpet; it actually looks nice & goes well.
This was b4 it was finished

would they both be happy with one common color like maybe purple and then get a pink comforter for one and a blue one for the other?

My youngest daughter just asked for the curtains!! that is the curtains around the bed like the small canopy... the way that kid sleeps, i'd be afraid that she'd roll up in them in a ball and possibly choke herself!

I JUST saw this yesterday and I was thinking that I love how they mixed the pink and blue and the other colors together.

can someone help me figure out what color is on the walls? does BM do color matching?

i actually LOVE that black and white bedding for the kids, but it's a little adult, i think. i think that will be the teenage years for one of them...

Rachel - BM does color match as far as I know, but go check out some swatches. They have great colors. Or you could look at Valspar for colors and BM will color match to Valspar. 
We have BM Haystack (yellow) in our office. It's a little bright, but nice. I think there was a post one here about Yellow paints. Maybe search for that post and you might get some really nice ideas. GL! Your girls rooms is going to be gorgeous when you are done. Love all the pics Melissa has given you.
