Help with movie theatre opinions? [Poll]

We want to go see I Am Legend tomorrow afternoon. We just moved to Suffolk and there are two theatres we've narrowed it down to:

Island 16 in Holtsville on Morris Ave (right by Nichols Road)

and

AMC Loews Stony Brook 17 on 347


Someone told me about a really nice theatre with all stadium seating and a great sound system... Is it one of these two?

Also, the Loews is closer to our house but if it's an older outdated theatre, we would be willing to drive to Holtsville instead.

Island 16 is prob the "great" theater that you were told about. But I've been to the Loews in Stony Brook and it's got stadium seating too. We find them equally enjoyable!!

With Island 16 tho, if the movie is in one of the Director's Halls (which I Am Legend might be) then you can actually choose your seats ahead of time and not worry about waiting in line. However, the tickets are more expensive too.

Thanks Cindy! Yes, that's definitely the one then. I also heard they have food and drinks available in the theatre themselves and that's why it's extra.

We don't even buy food at the theatre. But then again, we always went to the UA in Farmingdale and got Starbucks yumminess beforehand.

I have been to both

I like Loews better
it has been updated in the last 5 years and has lots of great snacks too
