Helpful holiday thread... how old is your DC and what are their favorite toys?
Thought this might help others out in looking for gifts for their children as well as others...
Unfortunately I don't have anything to share... My  is only a month and really just enjoys playing with his hands!!

DD is 2 and she is loving her double sided easel.
Her other favorites are A-Z Fisher Price Zoo and her baby dolls & stroller.

DD is 4 - loves anything Disney Princess...
She has these little Disney princess dolls that have rubbery dresses and she plays with them a lot.
Likes Barbies (although the clothes are too hard for her to take on and off)
Loves arts and crafts...coloring, stickers, cutting, pipe cleaners, etc...
Her cash register and pretend food...

Ds is 2. He loves:
books
Hot Wheels
Tonka trucks - the HUGE ones...he has the fire engine and the garbage truck.
Tonka trucks with the handles on top.
Bascially any cars and trucks
Puzzles
His easel and markers/crayons (though he's banned from them for a while - he draws on EVERYTHING )
Little People - but not really as sets. Just puts them inside the bus, airplane, any trucks he has.
His shopping cart
His push car
Those are the things that he always plays with. Basically, he loves wheeling things around and putting things inside of other things. So, anything that fits that description is all his.

DS is only 4 months old so he doesn't do much. But he enjoys his Bumbo, activity play mat, and is starting to get into the exasaucer.

Boy, aged 7 - superheroes, Captain Underpants books, dectective kits, puzzles, skateboarding. Clothes - for some reason double-shirts.
Girl, aged 5 - anything princess, Barbie, Polly Pockets, clothes (dresses, dresses, more dresses), anything girly. Would like to get her some simple "girl" books to read.
BTW, GREAT THREAD! We can point to it when people ask!

DD, 3.5yo - really into imagination play - costumes, tea set, taking care of her dolls, etc. Arts & craft projects. Loves board games. She likes any story books. She's not into clothes yet, except to insist she wear something pink every day.
DS, 2yo - coloring, magnadoodle, aquadoodle. cars & trucks. balls. riding his tricycle. getting better about sitting through someone reading a book. board games with dd.

DD is almost 10 months...she loves her leapfrog musical and learning playground table and also she has a piano toy that she is obsessed with. She is starting to really enjoy her dollys too

I love this thread!!!
DS is seven months and at this point, anything new is exciting to him. He still loves his excersaucer and Fisher Price rings. We recently for the v-tech "learning walker" and he really likes it!

great thread! we have a 2 yr old bday party this weekend and i've got some ideas now!
ds is 12 months and he LOVES anything he can stack - blocks, little people legos, random tupperware containers, etc.
he is starting to like trucks.
he also loves books and instruments (maracas, tambourines, drums)

dd is 1 and nephew is 1 and they seem to have a fascination with doors.. opening and closing them. Nephew has that fisher price home, and step 2 door. I just asked for the fisher price home for xmas from sil to give her.
She also loves her play sofa, loves to climb on it and sit and watch wiggles while eating her puffs. Its really cute.

My DD is 21 months and she loves TV, but besides that, she loves this tent/playhouse that we bought from TRU, she's starting to get into dolls and her shopping cart.
To be honest she likes non-toy things. so its hard to answer this.
