HELP...Gingerbread Frosting Q
We're making gingerbread houses in my classroom (Pre-K) & I'm not exactly wanting to make TONS of our own frosting (egg whites, powdered sugar), I could have the parents bring in store bought icing, YET I want to know will it ever get hard? Thx.

I think the issue is that the store made icing won't hold up the gingerbread house. You need to do that heavy duty frosting for that. At least that has been my experience with it.

Thanks, we're going to use milk cartons underneath & then put on the graham crackers over that, so don't really need heavy thick frosting, but will it be okay w/ not really getting "hard"?
