Help.....kindergarten teachers
I have a demo lesson for kindergarten on Tuesday, the problem....I'm coming from teaching 5th / 6th grade for a few years. I haven't taught kindergarten in a long time and am at a loss as to what to do for a last minute demo at the end of the year. Any thoughts or sites that you can point me too? Thanks.

Hi,
I am a K Teacher:) Try Kinderkorner.com and Kinderthemes.com
As for ideas, at this time of the year, when children are restless I would keep it VERY simple! You know the saying, less is more? What about a lesson using Leo Lionni's book, Swimmy? Search for ideas...this is one kids LOVE and it teaches a really good life lesson:)

Thank you so much! No, not LI....in Queens. I'm a nyc teacher, I just got my excess letter yesterday and started applying on our open market...I just got the call today for an interview / demo for Tuesday. I think some schools are trying to hire before school ends. I didn't expect to get called so quick. Thanks again!!!

Where in Queens are in being excessed from? And where is the interview?
