Help...when will it subside???

This morning sickness is ALL DAY. I want to jump out of my skin. Anyone have suggestions to ease this pain?

Ohhh the days of all day, 24 hour, unrelenting morning sickness that felt like an eternal hangover!! Mine eased up around week 16 or 17... in the meantime, try eating small snacks every 2-3 hours, eating lemon-y things, ginger drops, and worse comes to worse, ask your Dr. about medication like Zofran if it gets REALLY bad... hang in there, it WILL get better and I promise, you'll almost forget how bad it was!

My doctor told me that salt helps. This morning I had it very bad on my way to work so I got a bag of potato chips (salty kind) and sucked on them and it helped me a lot. Salted pretzels would work too. So would saltines.

I am not sure when it subsides, but I heard it gets better for most after the 12th week. I am in my sixth, and six more weeks sound so overwhelming right now.

Re: Help...when will it subside???

Terrible. I had a vomiting marathon every night in the bathroom at 8pm sharp. It was a nightmare from 6 weeks through until 13. Uggh,, I never found anything to relieve it, but I will tell you to hang in there. I loved my second trimester- I was running around and energetic and felt so great!!!! G-d is merciful!Chat Icon

I agree with the salty foods. I had to pull over the other night on the way home from work to get chips and I would never eat any other time! Hopefully a couple of more weeks...... The doctor said these are all great signs!!!!

Mine stop'd at around the 3 month and then it came back at around 8 months. I just took it easy and tried to eat little light meals throughout the day. I stinks but it does go away. Rest and drink lots of water. Chat Icon Chat Icon
