hematoma
I am 71/2 weeks preggo and having bleeding. My Ob did a sono.. The baby still has a heartbeat. Near the placenta is a hematoma that was causing the bleeding. OB said sometimes they resolve on own and sometimes get bigger and cause miscarriage.  Has anyone every heard of this or someone this has happened to?

My SIL just went through this and is fine. The blood just disappeared and everything is ok at 13 wks. She was spotting until about 10 wks so don't worry. I asked about this on here but no one answered me so I guess its not that common but here is a success story to reassure you. She was so worried until her next ultrasound. Hang in there

 I hope everything will be ok! Please keep us posted. I went through a really rough time of wait and see with a different situation. It's really hard, but try and stay positive!!

a hematoma is a cluster of blood cells, most people get it when they hit themself hard and get a really bad bruise, but I have heard of this as well diring pregnancy, I'm sure you will be fine
