Hemorrhoid?
Ok, so I've felt kinda constipated since my period ended earlier this week and I know I've been straining. Yesterday and today going to the bathroom kinda hurt and just now I had blood on the toilet paper... It stopped right away, but it was enough to scare me half to death. I also can feel a soft bulge ... There .... Leave it to me to get my first hemorrhoid 7 months after having my son! My question is, should I go to the doc or just take some stool softeners and see how it is in a few days?

Hemorrhoid?
aww, soak a cotton ball with witch hazel and rub it on the area. That will help reduce any pain and swelling. Use a stool softener. You might have a hemorrhoid or perhaps you have a small tear or skin tag. I hope you feel better.
Love the new picture of your little guy!!

Hemorrhoid?
I developed a hemorrhoid during my pregnancy and after pushing/bearing down during a vaginal birth, I got MANY hemorrhoids. I'm 7 weeks post-delivery and the hemorrhoids have gone down significantly and some have completely disappeared. I take stool softeners daily to help, and use medicated Tucks wipes -- they definitely sooth the area. I'd give it some time before going to a doctor unless the bleeding continues and increases. From what I've heard the procedure to remove them (moreso the healing process) is NOT fun at all.

It's also not guaranteed that you'll be back to your old self. I had multiple hemorrhoids after my son's birth, and dealing with it was just obnoxious. It wasn't that they hurt, bled, or itched - just that it was hard to clean after going to the bathroom. I finally broke down and had the surgery, but there are still many bumps (it's just the "landscape" is different). I asked the surgeon about it and he said that he can't get rid of them completely b/c there still needs to be a large enough space for going to the bathroom. I was super bummed out b/c I thought it would go back to the way things were pre-pregnancy.
I hope everything worked out for you and it's nothing permanent!
