Hemorrhoid Help
Ok....that got your attention!
But seriously.....who do you go to for a hemorrhoid problem? It's not me, but a close family member and we don't know where to turn. There are no proctologist in our insurance plan so we have to turn elsewhere.
Again...its not me!
You can always FM me if you don't want to post here.

Re: Hemorrhoid Help
Primary dr can prescribe medication for it and I'm pretty sure a gastro dr can deal with the issue as well. Obv proctologist is the better choice, but the other 2 drs can handle it.
Things that help with them: -sitz bath. You can buy one at any pharmacy. It helps soothe -prep h , witch hazel pads - help shrink it -use a donut for sitting. Takes pressure off -take daily fiber. Hard stool and pushing makes it worse -no spicy or acidic food
I hope they feel better soon. I know a few people who suffer with them and it's no joke.

Hemorrhoid Help
some PCP can take care of this by placing bands. Does the insurance have a rectal surgeon on the plan? I find it hard to believe the plan does not have a protcologist patients can go to. That doesn't sound right, they may not have a large number to choose from but they must have a few

Hemorrhoid Help
Thank you very much! When I looked up proctology under insurance providers to closest one was Staten Island.
I will have him call his GP and see what they say to do.
Thanks again!
