Re: Hemorrhoids (sorry if TMI)
Depends! Did you have issues prior to being PG? Them most likely you will.
I had the worst problems in my PG. I had an outpatient surgery at 24 weeks. The bigger you get, the more pressure you will have. I was also sitting all day long at work so that did not help at all. Walk and take breaks.
It occured again at 28 weeks but we opted out of another procedure and it went "away".
I had a scheduled c-section due to this particular issue. Unfortunatelly, 2 days before I was due for the c-section (to avoid the issue!!!) I had a MAJOR issue with them and was in misery for 2 days not sleeping and in pain no being able to do a thing about it.

Re: Hemorrhoids (sorry if TMI)
I am DREADING this.
I have never had one, and I have to be honest- don't know what they are really. What causes them? Wiping vigorously? Pushing too hard? Hard poop?

Eat well and drink lots of water and you prob wont get them. or maybe a little one after birth. I think they are more uncommon than common

Re: Hemorrhoids (sorry if TMI)
for me it started about a month ago (20 weeks or so)...but it hasn't been so bad now. I really only had a few days of bleeding and uncomfort!

Oh man- OK so I'm safe on the hard poop. And I have a habit of waiting until I'm crowning to use the bathroom, so the pushing isn't always such a risk. So the 15 times I need to wipe isn't as much an issue?

I didn't get them until I was about 34/35 weeks, but mine aren't painful thank goodness. Annoying, yes, but not painful.

Re: Hemorrhoids (sorry if TMI)
I got giving birth. It was so great of the nurse to announce it to the room. Like it wasnt bad enough all my glory was pointing at the door, so all who came in got to greet me from that end first ...

I never had them
I think I had the easiest pregnancy on earth - aside from the daily lovenox injections into my belly

U never get rid of them.... They may for a while lay dormant. U can soothe them, and with the right topicals, they will shrink... but unfortunately never go away unless u have surgery....
I have had them on and off for many years.....
