Oh dear goodness that is bad. I mean to se a mouse...OK its NYC, but those were full-on rats. My Chihuahua is smaller than that rat in the pic

sadly I have seen way bigger rats in the city
one time I parked by some garbage on the lower east side- the the rat that ran out was bigger then my 10 lb cat
but in all the places I have worked- I have never seen rats in the dining area- that is so gross
that means it's even worse in the kitchen

I live in the city next to a park. You wouldn't believe the size of the rats I have seen. Some are bigger than my 12 lb cat 
BTW: We prefer to call them urban squirrels
