Hermit Crabs
Strange question, but my son wants one... Where can I find a hermit crab with a painted shell like batman or spiderman?

Thanks, I'll check those out..... I told him that I didn't think that Santa could find a hermit crab like that and he said 'don't worry mommy Santa can have his elves paint the shell, it's not a big deal' ... now I have to get one

I agree. We had them ourselves. They are alot of work. So be prepared. If you don't follow the directions carefully.........they will dry up and die. Just an FYI.

Yes, that's where we got ours too. You definitely have to follow the directions carefully, they can die very easily. I am glad we don't have ours anymore, they were a pain in the azz.

awwww..that's adorable. I second RF. i think green acres ahs them too. I always avoid it. Hermit crabs scare the @#$% out of me!

we bought one for my daughter & my friend bought 2 for her daughters. $50 later and about 7 months later the crab I had died. The ones my friend bought died about 4 months later. Good luck w/ it because I don't think they last too long.

How are the little ones dangerous?
even the little ones.....they CAN clip onto your skin and let me tell you IT HURTS LIKE A MOFO
AND you have to pry it off and that is EXTREMELY PAINFUL.
EVEN the little ones

They actually are very easy to take care of, but it's pricey to buy all the starter stuff. I've seen Spiderman ones at the Smithaven mall.

i didn't think it was that pricey
we have had ours for over a year
we spent 30 for the starter crap and about 10 since
We are waiting for them to die
