Hershey Park?

I'm thinking of taking my kids there for the weekend. My DH can't go with us due to work responsibilities that cannot be avoided. I've never been there before. Can anyone tell me what the park is like? the rides? is it worth staying the entire weekend (2 days) or is an overnight stay enough and a day at the park? help?

I would go for 2 days. The first day you & your DC can do Chocolate World. You have to do the 3-D show, the trolley ride & all the activities there. The next day you can do the park.

i would say a day would be enough...

but 2 days might be nice because there are shopping outlets near Hershey and you could do those as well. you're also near Amish country/Lancaster and you could do a day there too.... ALso, there is a small zoo if I remember correcntly that's also a part of Hershey so you want some time for that too...

but a night and then a full day at the park is enough in my opinion. it's been awhile though---- i went to college near Hershey and we went there a lot... always a good time!
