hershey park question.....
DH and I have never been to hershey park. We do not have children yet. ( We will have kids one day) . I was talking to my friend who has 1 child and she said it is more for people with children. I was kind of annoyed, but took it from where it came from. ( She torttles her kid everywhere- broadway shows, disney a few times a year, concerts etc. , The kid is 8, and told me is is so tired all the time... gee, I wonder why....) My question is, is it really geared for kids, or as an adult would we enjoy it? Where did you stay , We are not into big roller coasters.... TIA!

Re: hershey park question.....
It is for EVERYONE! What's nice is that there is a really nice section for little kids but there's plenty for everyone. I am not a big coaster fan either and I had a great time. I wasn't aware that they had a big water park section or else I would have brought my swimsuit.
I don't remember where we stayed but it was awful...something like a days inn or less.

Re: hershey park question.....
DH and I took our first vacation there back when we started college and we had a blast!
It made me feel like a kid again but not that I needed to bring one with me

We just came back...It's for EVERYONE! It's a great park. There are also the outlets, Chocolate world which shows you how the chocolate is made. Dorney Park and Lancaster are also not that far away as well. We have a great time!

Re: hershey park question.....
i went to college not far from Hersey and we used to go all the time! it is really fun. However, if going to Hershey means you won't go say to Cape Cod or down to Florida or soemthing like that, then I would do those types of things first and then go to Hershey when you have kids.

Re: hershey park question.....
I love Hershey!! We have never been with our kids, but DH and I love this place. I think it's just as much for adults as well as kids.

Re: hershey park question.....
we don't have kids and we LOVE hershey park!
I'd also recommend Dorney Park as well!!!
I can't recommend a hotel - as we live in Jersey and the drive isn't bad for us - but definitely hit both if you will be STAYING in PA!!!!

Re: hershey park question.....
Hershey is definitely for everyone! DH and I try to go every year! There is the spa at the Hotel Hershey so we spend a day there as well as spending a day in the park...We LOVE it there!

Re: hershey park question.....
We go every year and IMO it's almost more for ADULTS than kids. There's tons of adult rides and of course kiddie ones too, but it is certainly not a kid-centric park by any stretch. We went with a family and 2 of their kids couldn't go on most of the rides they wanted to because the couldn't meet the height requirement.
I think your friends just doesn't want you to go without her....

Re: hershey park question.....
agree - def for adults too!
I've stayed at the Hershey Lodge which is a little less expensive than the Hotel Hershey but still very nice.
More affordable options -- I stay at the Hilton Garden Inn which was nice too.
Take the tour of Hershey if you can -- we did it by chance and had fun. They make it really entertaining.
Have fun!

Re: hershey park question.....
It is definitely NOT just for people with kids. DH and I went there a few months before we got engaged (no kids) and then again just this past May (with our then 10 month old son). We had a great time both trips and will definitely go back again.
Have fun and don't forget to get some chocolate!

Re: hershey park question.....
We did it twice before DS and had a ball! There are great coasters and rides. It is one of the cleanest, prettiest parks I have been to.
Chocolate World is great- I love the "factory" tour and the shopping of neat Hershey products. Have fun- totally for everyone!
