We're looking into the same thing.

My co-worker highly recommends the Hilton Garden Inn

We're debating staying at the lodge.

I've been to both and they are both good options.

The Hershey Lodge is def nicer and a bit more pricey but the Hilton was a great affordable option.

Re: HersheyPark

We stayed at The Suites at Hershey last year. 2 bed, 2bath suite with Kitchen. NOt owned by Hershey but we could see the roller coasters from the room.

When we went in July it was the same price per night as a regular room at the Hershey hotel (the cheaper of the hershey owned hotels, cant remember which is which)

Re: HersheyPark

I usually stay at the courtyard in Harrisburg. Its like $169/night and 10 min drive. They had breakfast and a pool.

We just stayed at the Suites in Hershey and it as a 2 min drive. But you do have to pay for parking.

I wouldn't waste my money on the Lodge. Honestly... We just came back from there in June and wasn't impressed at all. They are extremely pricey for what they offer. The rooms are tiny & the whole hotel is situated like a motel. The park discount tickets you get at the lodge are the same you can get elsewhere. The only really nice thing about the hotel is that they have an indoor & outdoor pool, but you can stay at other places (Like the Hilton garden Inn or similar) that would offer the same amenities.

Also, we thought that the hotel was in the park- it is actually 10 minutes away, ehich isn't too bad, but there were much nice & less expensive hotels closer to the park.

Hershey Park however.. is incredible!

Re: HersheyPark

I really liked the Lodge - the rooms were only average - but the service was great. I liked the activities that they had for the kids - we played Bingo, decorated cookies and did a scavenger hunt with the hotel. I liked the mini golf and the swimming as well. The best part - for me - was the shuttle to the park. It just made life that much easier because they ran so frequently and dropped us off right at the door closest to our rooms.
