He's doing the cute things... I have to share!
We have been spending a LOT of time alone together lateky, and I think it really has been great because he is at an age where I think he enjoys the time together - I'm not just that creature that holds him and feeds him...
Some cute things he did:
- grabbed me by the neck, and began "licking" my face with an open mouth. I thought he wanted a bottle (he used to do that when he was hungry) but didnt want the bottle. I put the bottle down, picked him up, and he did it again. I realized then he was hugging and kissing me 
- giggled the entire time while I read him the Very Hungry Caterpillar. 
ok - the next one is a little controvertial, but I have to share...
he was watching me eat an ice pop... I know he is teething and needing something cold... he was STARING at me eating the pop, so just to see what would happen, I put the pop to his mouth... would you know he began licking it like a pro????? And he got very happy, kicked his little legs, and stared at me some more while I ate.... I gave him a few more licks, but then had to stop... I swear the kid wasn't going to leave me any if I let him continue....
so to answer nicole's post from the other day, I guess I DO give DC ice pops!!!

It's so wonderful when they start to interact. I was so hooked once Ava started to do all those thigns. ENJOY IT!!!!

I know... I have been so lonely lately because DH is never around anymore because of work. I even though Cailen wont sleep more than 2 hrs in a row, I am enjoying my time with him so much.

Enjoy every moment of it! I shared and ice cream sandwich with DS this weekend and he screamed bloody murder when it was finished.

I know - its so amazing!!! I keep thinking - wow - this is all just beginning - he will keep doing more and more cute things.
My favorite was when he was giggling at me while I read the book. I think its because I take on this "book reading" voice, and make all these facial expressions... I must look so stupid!

MAdison starting doing that hugging kissing thing last week and it is the best feeling in the world!!! even though it feels really gross!! And right on to ice pops!!!!!!!!

what a great feeling....dh was eating a grape yesterday and squeezed some of the juice into Mikayla's mouth...she LOVED it, wanted more

awwww. I can't believe he's getting so big already!
As for the ice pop thing....whatever works. You could make some homemade ice pops with juicy juice since that is 100% juice.
Cold watermelon worked for us in the teether net!
