hey ladies, im a TTC gal that needs some help.

Hey Ladies, i need alittle help if you please. First and for most congrats to all you beautiful mommies to be. Second, i had a M/C 12 weeks ago today, and last month was my first offical month trying. I am thinking about getting a OPK, my question to you all is, who here used OPK to get PG, and how long after using it did you get PG. Any information would be much appreciated.

Re: hey ladies, im a TTC gal that needs some help.

I used OPKs and gut PG with DD#1 my first month.

With DD#2 (due in Nov), I used OPKs and it took 4 cycles. I was also charting and realized that ALTHOUGH the OPKs were indicating correct times to BD (I was able to confirm O through temperature rises), my luteal phase was 2 short.

Long story short- the OPKs definitely helped me to pinpoint my optimal BD times.

GL to you- hope to see you over on this side soon!

Re: hey ladies, im a TTC gal that needs some help.

I used an OPK and got pregnant the first month using it. I bought 2 boxes from Walmart (they were about $11/box and had 7 tests per box) and I used them starting from day 9 (The box told me to start at day 11, but I wasn't too sure of my cycles and I had bought enough tests). I tested after work around 5 pm. The way that they work is that you have a test line, which is always there and when you're about to ovulate a 2nd line appears (only when the 2nd line is as dark, or darker than the test line are you about to ovulate). As I got to day 12, I started using them in the morning and after work, I figured what the heck...
My 2nd line showed up on CD15 and 13 days later I tested positive on a HPT.

first I used the answer opk for 2 months, did not work, I was reading the lines incorrectly. I switched to the clearblue Chat Icon OPK, worked the second month, so much easier!

I used the CBE OPKs for one month and thought the lines weren't strong enough in color for me to feel confident about them. The next month I used the CBEFM... best purchase I made!! I was PG in month 2 of using the CBEFM. Go get one!! Good luck! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: hey ladies, im a TTC gal that needs some help.

The first month that I tried OPK's I got pg. I had a m/c in Oct. 06, tried again in November...didn't get pg. Tried OPK's for my December cycle and got pg. DD is now almost 10 months old. I also took my temp each day. But I think the OPK's were helpful.
