Hi Everyone from my new home!!!

Well, new apartment!! I feel like I haven't been on in ages!! Things are still crazy here. We are totally moved in and still have a ton of boxes to unpack. Our new couch came and it is beautiful, just a little bigger than it looked in the store, but fits really nicely after some adjusting. Our parents have been awesome!! I mean awesome. They just want to get us everything for our new apartment. My FIL bought the bunk bed futon for my stepsons room, which looks awesome, mt parents both chipped in and put a lot towards our couch and my FIL is very excited for Christmas so he can buy us more stuff, like the stackable washer/dryer we really want. Everyone had been great. This move came so quickly and unexpectedly, so stuff was basically thrown in boxes from the old place and I have a lot I am just throwing out. We had a blast on Saturday night putting the kitchen together and going through all the shower stuff. It was like Christmas here. I love bed bath and beyond, they took back shower stuff we didn't need from two years ago with no questions asked, Fortunoffs on the other hand, gave me grief and wouldn't take some stuff back, and they were major snobs. So, for now, I am working on one room at a time, starting to see the floor in the bedroom finally. DH just left to get my stepson and I am so excited for him to come and see his new room. He slept on a futon in the livingroom at our old place because it was only two rooms and the fact that we can now give him his own room totally has me beaming. We still have some little things to get eventually but we are for the most part, set. The paint looks awesome and the colors are so cool, our landlord came in and said what awesome colors I picked, made me feel real good. My Betty Boop meets Italy kitchen looks great, I can't wait to start cooking in it. I will post before and after pics eventually, just want to clear some more of the mess up first. Sorry, to go on, I feel like I have had no contact with the outside world forever.

On another note, Our old landlord called last week, before we told her we were leaving ( we didn't tell her sooner for fear she would shut everything off) Anyway, she called to try and raise the rent, to which DH told her we were leaving. We also found out that she had called the Merrick fire department a few weeks prior and told them they could use the barn in the back of the house for practice drills. She was going to let them set fires to the barn, with us living 20 feet away and wasn't going to tell us. DH mentioned it to her and she said, well, I figured you would see it, yeah, when our house was burning up too!!

Anyway, I have to get back to work. I want to go set my bathroom up. I'll be back when I can. But it is so nice to have such a nice BIG place. DH had to search for me before. I have such a great view out my windows, which is something we didn't have in the old place, we had no front windows, now I have tons. OK, I'll ost pics soon. Good to be back. Hope everyone is well. Sorry this is so long. Its been a long time since I was on so I have to make up for lost time!!

Thank you!! My stepson came yesterday and it was sooo awesome. He walked in the door and the first thing he saw was a door with a sign on it that said..Matt's Room. He just looked at us, because he didn't even know where he was, we hadn't told him we moved because he was away and we wanted it to be a suprise. He loves his room. We took him to k-mart last night and let him get some posters to hang in his new room. It was really cool. I promise I'll post pics soon. The transformations of each room to me, are amazing. Just got a few more boxes to empty and straighten and put on our new bedspread and some tidying up and I'll take the after pics!!
