Hi Shar, welcome back. How is your sister doing?

Thank you so much for asking. She's doing great. It was truly wonderful to spend a whole week doting on her and her kids. It was really very special. I saw things and places I didn't know existed and got to spend 17 days and 3982 miles bonding with my precious baby. It was definitely an experience. We left Meridian, MS just hours before the hurricane hit and our hotel was devastated (even though it was quite north of the eye). We spent most of our days in Myrtle keeping an eye on CNN...I can't believe the devastation that area had Chat Icon

While we were gone, we had two babies born and a family friend pass of cancer. She was only 42.

I'm glad you had a great time with Amber and your family. I bet it was wonderful just to get away.
I'm also happy to hear that you weren't stuck in the eye of the hurricane.
