Hi, I'm new and very excited to be here! (and scared to death!)
Hi Ladies, I posted on this board a few weeks ago, at the time I was TTC and asking you guys if you thought it would be safe for me to go visit a relative in Israel in July - she is a smoker, and that was my greatest concern - I was hoping that I would be pregnant by July, and .... it looks like I am!!!!!!!!
This was our first month trying, and when AF was late, I tested BFN. A few days, still no Aunt Flo, another test, another BFN. I few days later (this past WEdnesday) BFP!!!!!
So, I am so excited, but also scared to death.
Please help calm my nerves - I tend to overact to things in general, and am a little anxious, so now, I can only imagine how paranoid I'm going to be... poor DH! I have a Dr's appointment on Tuesday, and really can't wait to make sure everything is OK.
I am worried because after I got the BFN, I took an ativan a couple of times. I wouldn't have if I thought I pregnant. I also had a couple of drinks, which I wouldn't have had I thought I was pregnant. Also, I quit smoking years ago, but have been addicted to the nicotine lozenges for years. I know its bad, and I have been cutting back substantially preparing to get off them for good. Well, again with the BFN, I had some.
So since Wednesday, I've been perfect. I miss my lozenges, but I wouldn't dream of having one.
I'm actually so scared of everything.
I'm scared to have sex, and scared to work out at the gym. I know that people do both, but I'm really scared to do anything at all until I see the DR. on Tuesday. I went to the gym yesterday, and then was afraid to do anything to rigorous, so I just did the recumbant bike for 45 minutes. I am supposed to have an appointment with my trainer on sunday. I told her Im PG (how funny - she is the first person I told -- DH doesn't want to tell anyone until we see the DR, and I totally understand - but had to tell my trainer since she works with me) and she said it was fine to work out if I have a clean bill of health, and that she works with pregnant women all the time. She said we won't do anything new, and nothing jumping around. DH thinks I should keep my appointment, and I kind of want to - I feel better when I work out - but part of me is scared to do anything at all that might be risky until a doctor gives me the OK. What do you ladies think?
Thank you so much for reading all this - sorry its so long! I would love your opinions!

Congratulations!! Don't stress too much!! If you don't feel comfortable working out, don't...your doctor will say it's okay though so if that makes you feel better then go for it. And don't worry about what you took/ate/drank before BFP - none of that stuff really affects the baby this early on.
Enjoy your nine months!!!!
