Hi New Here...Looking for girls with blocked tubes
Hi All....I'm a board jumper from TTC. I had my HSG done about 2 weeks ago and they found both tubes to be blocked. My appointment at RSNY today gave me no hope but to go the IVF route. Are there any girls who have had the laperscopic surgery to help correct blocked tubes and if so where? I'm DEFINITELY in need of a second opinion. THANKS for all YOUR help and suggestions because you really are the smartest bunch of chickies around

Re: Hi New Here...Looking for girls with blocked tubes
my HSG showed one blocked tube. i opted to have surgery to at least see if they could unblock the tube. my RE suggested it and i went to the hospital they are affiliated with to have it done (FM me if you want more details). the surgery was successful, i ended up getting pregnant right away but it was ectopic and i lost the tube. looking back, i still would have done the surgery over again.
i know how upsetting it can be to learn this news and i am so sorry you are dealing with both blocked tubes
it's such a personal decision to have the surgery or not. IVF is very successful for blocked tubes! read up on the surgery as much as you can. the success rates are decent, but it does increase your chances of ectopic pregnancy.
FM me anytime

Re: Hi New Here...Looking for girls with blocked tubes
I had one blocked tube and had the lap surgery in oct. I'm still not pregnant but now that seems to be due to my endometriosis. Even if I had Ivf coverage I'd get the surgery first. I know people who got pregnant the first month after the lap. Its a personal decision though. Mine was done by dr Pillitteri in deer park at good Sam. The recovery was not bad. I was pretty much back to normal running around 4 days later Fm me if you have any questions. Good luck !

Re: Hi New Here...Looking for girls with blocked tubes
After my HSG is was determined that my left fallp tube was blocked and the dr suggested lap to remove it- I agreed. When the dr went in to remove the tube- it WAS NOT BLOCKED!! SO, I never had it removed, six months later went on inject med and did IUI and got preg two months later. are 11 months old!!!!!!!!!!
Feel free to fm me

I had a hydrosalpinx and endo and now diminished ovarian reserve. I only had one blocked tube but got DD after lap and tube removal.

Re: Hi New Here...Looking for girls with blocked tubes
I have had many ectopic pregnancies/losses. I lost one tube from an ectopic. I have never had a lap and from what I read, the tube is so small that even doing surgery can cause scar tissue..
