hiccups- Update... see what cured them!
I hate them...
i just got them so bad... they actually hurt... any tricks to get rid of them???

i usually hold my breath while pushing (bearing) down on my diaphragm..hold until you cannot hold it any longer. Exhale slowly. Repeat if necessary.
This helps your diaphragm to stop spasming.

I get them soooo bad - breathing in and out of a paper bag, drinking a glass of water upside down (drink out of the top of the glass and position your head so it doesn't spill all over you) are the two remedies that work best for me.

plug up your ears with your thumbs and your nose with your pinkies - take a glass of water and drink it out of a straw while you have your ears and nose plugged up.
this will work!

for the future since you are already cured..you bear down internally, like you were pushing with your air filled lungs..extend your stomach and push out. Your diaphragm is at the top of your stomach so if you are trying to hold steady your breathing and your stomach you will be sending signals to your diaphragm to stop spasming.
