Hidden IVF Fees
When I was told that my insurance covered IVF I didn't realize that I had to pay $600 for the anestesiologist (sp?), $150 for the IVF class, and $300 for my dh's SA bc they don't take his insurance.
I know I shouldn't complain bc many people pay out of pocket for everything, I just wish I would have been told of these costs prior to starting the process so we could have budgeted better..
Oh well....just needed to vent a bit

Re: Hidden IVF Fees
I think you should be given a detailed cost sheet that includes ALL charges and your insurance company should be give you, in writting, what is and is not covered. I am sorry that you were not given the information upfront. that is seriously wrong.

Re: Hidden IVF Fees
Yes, they absolutely should give you a price sheet beforehand.

Re: Hidden IVF Fees
Unfortunately I was given nothing and under the assumption that when my insurance covers IVF it meant everything. I should have known
I'm going to call the finance dept and get that spreadsheet of fees to see what else I'm in for.
Thanks.
