HIDING FOOD!!!
I food shop ever Sat. for the week. Im maintaining my weight so i buy for my diet. My DH always raids the refridg. as if everything in it will be gone tomorrow. I swear its as if he was going to be starved if he did not eat. Instead of taking two peicesof sliced turkey for a snack. He will eat the whole 1/2 lb of it. Instead of some prezels he eat the whole damn bag.I am annoyed bc half the time I have to hide my food that i eat bc he will eat it!!!!!!!!!! Then he finds it and gets mad that i hid it. I actually laughing as im writing this bc its so CRAZY to me!!!. (By the way my DH is not over weight, he just has a surreal appetite) Its soo frustrating.. Anyone else have to hide food?? Thanks for letting me vent

LOL..Yes..
My mother from my brother! He can eat anything! Eats my parents out of house and home..LOL and you probably wouldnt even know it!
He's getting married in July, so, HAA..now he has to buy his OWN stuff!

For things like pretzels, when you get the bag, divide it up into daily portions & put your initial/ lunch/ monday, etc. and then leave some for him to eat. He may not realize it when he has a whole bag in front of him, but he may feel bad if he realizes he is eating your tuesday lunch!

My dad does this. And sometimes my DH.
My mom swears that my dad will eat whatever she brought home for her "healthy eating" because it is a novelty.
DH always finishes my leftovers RIGHT BEFORE I want them.

Rich has no concept of portion size, much like your husband. He grew up in a house where his Dad would take a bag of chips, and eat the WHOLE BAG. If any of the kids wanted some, they needed to open a new bag. Linden's CC cookies come 3 cookies in a pouch - he'll eat 2 or 3 pouches. He eats Oreos as if they're bite sized - just pops in a whole cookie. Both of his parents are obese.
I have a feeling that once we live together, I may be in your situation!  s

I keep snacks in the closet for when I'm hungry cause DH eats the whole bag in one day if I don't. He actually perfers no snacks in the house so he doesn't eat them all...so it's a perfect excuse to hide them for me. A box of cookies can last me forever though. I can't not have snacks in the house.

My DH does this as well. He thinks there's going to be a drought. When he eats it, I make a funny noise...

My DH is the same...I brought home 2 london broils this week---he cooked one for dinner tuesday night at ate the entire thing...I got 2 slices (i don't eat much meat) from his plate. He cooks 2lbs of pasta for one meal... i go food shopping and the basket is all for him, i get yogurt and lettuce+....and I have to hide stuff as well, especially soda, he can drink a 64oz in one afternoon. He is finding my hiding spots tough. Now he wants to have one of his brothers for dinner this sunday, and he said we'll use the london broil, the pkg of chicken cutlets...and I am thinking, who are we feeding--an entire family??? or just 2 people and me...God forbid he eats more salad and a tad less meat?? No portion control and he is skinny and in great shape!!!

When I am dieting I buy Lean Cuisine meals or Healthy Choice and DH always eats my favorite ones so sometimes I put them in the basement freezer .....he rarely goes in that one
