High Achieving or Gifted Programs in Nassau
Hi, has your child been a part of one of these programs? They usually begin at 3rd grade and are called Gate, Horizon, Wings, Rise, etc. Would you tell me your experience and in what district? Did you love the program for your child? Feel free to PM me any negatives. TIA!

My child is in the gifted program at Half Hollow Hills. It is called AHAP and it begins in third grade. Students from all over the district are bused to one school for a full day each week.
The program is incredible....so much hands on learning across the domains..... even the classroom design/furniture is unique.
Children are tested each year and if they score above 140 they are asked to participate. My child loves going.
I know you asked about Nassau, but thought I'd share my experience as I am very interested in what other districts do as well.
