High Blood Sugar
I am STILL feeling like crap so I went to health services at my job...they took my blood sugar and blood pressure
blood pressure was fine (123/58) but my blood sugar was 164. Does this seem high? It was just a finger stick blood test that he did and he said it was slightly elevated but ok due to pregnancy

Its most likely from being sick, and whatever virus you have. It can raise your BS and BP. But a normal BS during pregnancy shouldnt be that high, they are wrong, its most likely because your sick. I would call and let ur doctor know.

Re: High Blood Sugar
Did you do your glucose test yet? I would def. let your dr. know.
I am sick as well for the past couple of weeks and it's really starting to bother me physically and mentally. Hope you feel better soon!

Re: High Blood Sugar
Did you have anything to eat before that????? If so, when?
It is very high and pointing towards GD.......(I had it during my pregnancy and know that 164 is considered very high)

Re: High Blood Sugar
Feel better... i know my normal blood sugar while PG has been around 80-88, depending on what I ate that day.

Re: High Blood Sugar
Sounds like GD but of course I am not a doctor.....your sugar levels need to be under 140 after 1h of eating and yours was 164 after 2hours...sounds very high...I had GD during my pregnany but my case was weird...it was my fasting level that was high (after eating I was always fine and my levels were normal - under 110),
Don't worry, if you do have GD it is very easy to control...either way make sure you speak to the doctor and he will give you the glucose test to determine if you indeed have it...
GL and don't worry!!!

Re: High Blood Sugar
Your blood sugar is high. Being sick can definately affect it, but it is high. For women with GD, blood sugar numbers after a meal should be:
1 hour after a meal: 130 or below 2 hours after a meal 120 or below
