High Ranch Front Window Question

We have a high ranch and when we moved in last year, I hastily put up white sheer curtains with deep blue panel curtains in front. Blue panels stay open and sheers stay closed all the time because I find the window to be so huge and unattractive.

Now..... I HATE THE WAY IT LOOKS If it was a pretty bay window or I had beautiful scenery in the front, I might feel different but this gigantic plain window ??

Does anyone else have a big window like that? Any pics of pretty curtains or blinds, any ideas?

My mom has a high ranch with a big bay window and she just has vertical blinds without curtains. Do you have a ledge in front of the window? She uses that as the focal point and has plants and other decorative pieces on the ledge and it looks nice when the blinds are pulled open.
