Highchair advice
I registered for the Eddie Bauer highchair. I love the look of it and feel because it is made of wood it is going to be sturdy. When I went and looked at it yesterday I realized it doesn't recline. I wasn't sure if this is necessary and wanted some opinions. What highchairs do you girls have and how do you feel about them?
Thank for the help!

Re: Highchair advice
I know that my brother and his wife use the reclining feature of thier highchair at almost every feeding because thier daughter has acid reflux and so they give her meds before each feeding. My baby is yet to be born, so that's the only input I have on it. Have you checked out the reviews on BRU.com?

Re: Highchair advice
I got the Eddie Bauer one also! I know it doesn't recline, but I figure the baby won't be really using it until they can sit up on their own. I remember with my son - I pretty much used the bouncy seat for feeding him, and back than I did have the reclining high chair, but I hated it, mine was so bulky and took up way too much room.

Re: Highchair advice
I've been using the recline with my baby just as a place for her to hang out. When she is eating the seat is more upright.
I have the Healthy Care Deluxe by Fisher Price and I've been happy with it, although she is just 6 months old, so we are new to high chair land!

Re: Highchair advice
I liked the recline position on my highchair when Emily was smaller. It was a great place to feed her during dinner. She also loved to nap in her highchair. She'd take her bottle and fall asleep for a few hours. Now that she's older I don't use it as much. I'll occasionally recline it back when I really have to wipe her down after a meal. I originally registered for the Eddie Bauer highchair, but changed my mind because so many people told me I'd love the recline feature. I found it handy, but I could've survived without it too.

Re: Highchair advice
I use the recline feature ALOT. Also, my nieces are 2 and 3 and can "escape" from everything (pack and play, crib, etc..) so my SIL uses the highchair a lot when she needs somewhere safe for one of the girls while ehes bathing or helping the other. She told me to get a comfy highchair because its not just for feeding. We got the babytrend and I do use it alot now.

Re: Highchair advice
I have to say I use the recline positions a lot and can't imagine not having it. I have the Baby Trend Palm Tree High Chair. It has a few positions. I use the in between one the most. He started in his high chair before he could sit up his own (he could hold head up but could not sit up unassisted - at about 4.5/5 months). He was on solids kind of early (started at 3.5 months) and I was sick of using the bouncer seat and it helped a lot. Even now I don't use the most upright one because the slight recline seems more comfy for him. He also loves sitting in his high chair while I eat breakfast or wash dishes or I pull it into the laundry room with me and he loves it - but with the slight recline.
