Highlights & toner
I just got highlights in my hair this past Saturday. I didn't think I needed a toner then, but, now that I'm looking at my hair, I think I should get it- the blonde is very "blonde", and I want to tone the highlights down a notch.
My question is- Do I have to apply toner right after the foil is done, or can I wait a few days??? I know eventually the color will tone down on its own, but I have a wedding saturday & I dont want my hair to look too brassy.

Re: Highlights & toner
I think you can get toner after the fact. I know sometimes when I get a trim in between highlight touch ups my hairdresser will throw in some toner to hold me over for the next few weeks.

Re: Highlights & toner
You can wait a few days. It looks a lot different after you wash it yourself. I've gone back almost every time to get a toner after a couple of days.

Did they charge you? If so, how much?
Thanks.

Re: Highlights & toner
Yes, I'm sure they've charged me. I dont remember how much. Definitely less than a color. I would call them.
