highlights
is it true that you can't have your hair highlighted when you're pregnant? i have an appt next sat and don't know if i should cancel it.....need my highlights done badly for a family affair the following weekend....i only get partial ones, would this matter? not sure what i should do....

There are mixed reviews on this one. The highlight really does not touch your scalp, therefore it doesn't enter the bloodstream, or very little does. I had my hair highlighted when I was 13 weeks and I am going again soon.

I wouldnt in the 1st trimester...but after that my DR said it was fine...as long as it was only a highlight...
He also said to make sure it was well ventilated wherever I had it done... ( My friend does it so I always just sat next to a cracked window..)
Your hormones are wacky though, so the color could come out slightly off!

I had highlights done in the 2nd trimester. I made sure the girl didn't put it on or near my scalp, just on the hair.
