highlights vs. dying your hair
Are highlights worse for your hair that dying it all? I've been highlighting for years and have never actually dyed my whole hair but am debating it if its better for my hair.

Re: highlights vs. dying your hair
I think highlights are worse b/c of the bleaching/peroxide...my hair seems to feel a lot drier with highlights compared to when I just dye it.

Re: highlights vs. dying your hair
I prefer highlights because it gives me more time with my roots. If I dye my hair I need to do it very often.

Don't they strip the hair of its natural color to highlight? If so then I would think yes it is worse to highlight.

Agreed, I have done both and when I used to highlight my hair, it was SO damaged. Now I just dye it and its fuller, and softer and SO much healthier

Highlights killed my hair. I just do a single process now and my hair has never looked better.

I don't know I guess I'm different, but I've been highlighting my hair for years and its always been so soft, never had a problem with it, the girl who does my hair is also an amazing colorist I must say--lol but I guess everyone's hair is going to react different to it.

I'm with you. My hair is soft and also a lot fuller with highlights.

Highlights are definitely more damaging to your hair.

Re: highlights vs. dying your hair
When I was highlighting my hair it was so dry & didn't look all that healthy.
I started dying it & it is healthy looking & I don't think it damages as much
