hips hurt!
anyone else have this?
It's similar to my experiences after my growth spurt in jr high... After sitting a while, I stand up and walk.... my hip joint (where the femural head connects to the hip) feels out of place. I have to limp along for several minutes until it gradually returns to its propper place
I was fine all along, but ever since last week (I am doing a lot of sitting around at work these days, and had a long car trip on sunday) it's gotten pretty
I guess its the hormones loosening up my joints

Re: hips hurt!
This happens to me. My OB has a physical therapist at her office and suggested I see her. I first saw her at 25 weeks. My SI joint was stuck (and like you I couldn't walk when I'd first stand up). She reset it and massaged the tissue around it. I was so much better. It keeps happening though. Its due to Relaxin, the hormone in preggo bodies that loosens our joints so they can spread to make room for the babies. I now go to PT every other week and then started every week once my rib popped out. My insurance covers it. She said if you don't keep it in line and treat it, then it can get very bad and make labor really painful or worse, not go back afterwards. With treatment it barely hurts now and will go right back after arrives.

ok, that's good to know OK, if it continues a while longer, I'll mention it at my next OB visit
