Hmmmm... I was just thinking....

I know I should stop over thinking this, but....

I'm sure you ladies know my background by now... but for the new ladies...

I got off BCP in November. December we weren't trying, but weren't being careful. We started activly trying in January. I don't think I was ovulating that whole time.... fast forward to now.

I'm now an entire day late and I don't feel any AF symptoms. I tested last night and this morning and got BFNs.

Could this have been my first month ovulating again and maybe I didn't O on the 10th like I thought I was supposed to? I saw what I thought was EWCM at the end of last week, maybe I Oed late? If I Oed late last week, I would still miss AF now and get a BFN right?

Tell me to stop if I'm over analyzing things, please tell me if I'm just making myself nuts!

ETA: If I did O when I saw what I thought was EWCM then I'd be 4dpo.. but why would that happen so late in my cycle?

Given what you've written, you may not even be late.

Seeing EWCM doesn't mean that you DO/DID ovulate, and especially not that specific day.

I've had EWCM as early as 5 days before ovulation (used OPK to get O date) and this month I first saw EWCM on CD 15 and didn't ovulate until CD 22 (used CBEFM to get O date).

If you ovulated later than you thought, then AF will be due later.

Your luteal phase typically stays the same, so if it's 14 days then you should expect AF 14 days from ovulation. Delayed O = delayed AF.

So I think anything's possble really!

Sometimes your body gears up to O and then doesn't and then does O again later. Sometimes stress or illness can cause you O late. Remember you LP is always the same but the time between AF and O can vary.

are you temping or using OPKs? Or are you justgoing by CM?
