Holding poop
DS just turned 2. We have never had a problem with him pooping, he is very regular. Recently, he'll have times where he gets really cranky, cries, hits me, almost like a tantrum and then 15-20 minutes later he will poop - it's like play doh consistency. His diet has not changed at all - there is very little he will actually eat, so he eats the same things all the time. He was taking some medication that could be constipating, but even when he was off of it, I noticed the same thing.
So my question is - is this a prelude to him being ready to potty train, that he might be holding it because he knows he has to go. I talked to the doctor about it at his well visit, but she said not to start training him right now, because if that is the case, he might hold it in even more and really cause problems.
Any BTDT moms with advice or input? TIA.
