Holiday card question

This year, I'm making our cards again. Do you think it's tacky for a childless couple to do a photo card? Chat Icon

Re: Holiday card question

I wouldn't say tacky, but one of DH's friends from college sent one a few years ago and we laughed about it.

Re: Holiday card question

I send one of our dog out. Everyone laughs about it but they know Peanut is our child right now and really get a kick out of seeing a pic of her every year.

I haven't gotten one from anyone but i think if it were a cool photo it would be cute...

Like doing a dip in Times Square, or something corny.

If it was just a posed one from a studio I might think it was strange.

I get one of my friend's dog every year. She doesn't want kids and her dog is her baby. I think it's cute.

I don't think it's tacky (I wouldn't be offended by it!) ... maybe just a little bit dorky. Chat Icon

ETA: Actually, I just remembered DH's friends sent one a couple of years ago and it was actually cute since it was clearly a joke (they had staged some funny "scene" so it wasn't like they were just sitting there).

See, this is what I was thinking. I'm naturally dorky, so I would need to do something silly.

Re: Holiday card question

Our first married Christmas, we sent one out of us with our cats.
After that, we got too lazy, so we just sent regular cards.
I think it's cute!!

Re: Holiday card question

Last Year- our first married Christmas, we sent out one of us and our dog-

I know it was dorky, but it was cute and family members liked it- we didn't send it out to everyone!
we won't do it again, maybe just of our dog- but not of us until we have children...

On the otherhand, my MIL sent out a family pic-her, her 3 sons and me...at h our wedding- on a christmas card- I thought it was an awful idea- but she loved it-apparently so did her friends, since many were unable to come to the wedding...
