Holiday card question for cf couples
Do you enjoy the photo cards of children that are the rage now or do you prefer to receive traditional holiday cards with a nice message inside? What about a traditional card with a picture of the child inside- like a wallet size?
I feel like I don't want to bombard people with pictures of my daughter. I mean, I love looking at photos of her and I know her grandma and her aunts, uncles, and my friends w kids her age do, but honestly, should I just send a regular card to my cf friends? Does anybody even care?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I was thinking about this as I was looking over my holiday card list.
Thanks for your replies. Maybe Im crazy, but this has been on my mind!

When we put away our Christmas decorations, all cards get tossed. We don't have pics up of any kids in our house. We have no nieces or nephews. Some pics get put in a bin and put in a drawer.

If they're very close friends I enjoy it. If not I hardly notice it and just stick it on the door with the rest until tossed.
i'd love a wallet or even 4x6 from CLOSE friends. I'd keep that.

I hang all of the cards that we get, photo and regular cards. After the holidays I toss the cards and keep a few of the photo ones of close family and friends.
I like looking at the phot ones, seeing how big the kids got, especially those who we don't see on a regular basis.
Just because we are CF doesn't mean that we don't like children.

I like photo cards AND regular cards - I wouldn't say I prefer one over the other - but I think you should just send whatever type of card you're doing to everyone, CF or not. Even though I don't have kids of my own, that doesn't mean I don't enjoy seeing pics of my friends' kids. And I do save all the pictures.

I like pictures of my friends' kids--especially the ones I don't see often, but now that I see the kids on Facebook all the time its not as big of a deal, but it doesn't bother or offend me if they do send them.
I have one friend who struggles every year to get a good picture of her 2 kids, so I look forward to that one every year to see what she came up with!

I love any card I get, and I especially love getting pictures of the kids in my family / among my friends. That said, I don't expect every parent to send me pictures every year.
One of the nicest holiday cards I got was from my brother. It was a somewhat traditional folded card, but it had a regular sized photo attached to the front. The photo was easily remove-able, so I was able to take it off and frame it.
Don't overthink the holiday cards or stress about them. Whatever you do will be appreciated. If they aren't, that's their (IMHO ridiculous) problem.
I certainly wouldn't do two cards b/c you think people won't want to see pictures of your child. Anyone who would be put off by receiving a picture holiday card is probably miserable anyway.

I love receiving pictures of our friends children. Of my friends, DH & I are the only couple who do not have children. My friends send pictures of their children during the year & I love having them on the fridge.

I don't mind it at all! I love seeing holiday pictures from my friends and family. Some are pretty funny, especially when the kids are younger. This year DH and I sent out a card with a photo of us on it that said Season's Greetings from the Newlyweds. I'm sure some people will roll their eyes but we liked it!!!
